Gallaher London

Following the opening of new showrooms to various parts of the country, Gallaher felt their existing showroom in Old Street, in the City of London was rather tired and out of date, being in the capital it was therefore decided to create a new showroom in sympathy with the others. 

A new site was located, fortunately still in Old Street and we were commissioned to develop the new showroom.

Quite a difficult location, firstly located in the city and secondly a lock-up unit below domestic dwellings; therefore, requiring the highest level of fire rating.

The ceiling was created from formed powder coated metal grids, interlocking to form an attractive open frame, and enabling us to conceal the high level of fire protection units above. The wall panels were formed from self-extinguishing material.

Once again, the showroom completely fulfilled Gallaher requirements, on this occasion as a showroom already existed in Old Street, it was decided not to have the normal official opening, but simply to close the existing showroom on a Saturday evening and open the new premises on the following Monday.
