Royal Mail were introducing ‘Postcodes’, enabling automated sorting and more efficient delivery. To enable the public to have a better understanding of the system Royal Mail commissioned us to design a semi-permanent display at the Science Museum, London.
The area allocated was in a presentation room to the side of the main gallery on the first floor.
Our concern was the room becoming congested with a single entrance, we, therefore, designed a circular display with a very positive flow through the displays and information.
The display was extremely successful with large numbers of visitors and remained at the Science Museum for over eighteen months.
